EvoArm is a 3+2DOF 3D-printed robotic arm, an innovative design built upon the LiteArm i2 model by Armatec: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:480446. Instead of hobby servos, EvoArm incorporates Dynamixel AX-series smart servos for precise position and speed control with feedback at a relatively affordable cost. Most bearings used are low-cost 608-size skateboard bearings. The design provided features a flat end-effector, engineered to provide tactile/haptic feedback and adding an extra 2DOF at the wrist to the base arm's 3DOF. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: Not Required Supports: No Supports Necessary Resolution: Achievable at 100-200 Micron Infill: Varies Depending on Design Requirements Notes: The parts are designed to fit the Ultimaker 2 bed. Use brims or rafts as needed to prevent warping, and be aware that some pieces require supports due to significant flat overhangs. Print only the necessary pieces, as they can be exported individually as STL files. Post-Printing Instructions: Assembly instructions will be provided once a second arm is successfully built.
