The Ultimate Puzzle Challenge: The Evil Twin 3x3x2 is a mind-bending puzzle that appears as a standard 3x3x2 Rubik's Cube but holds a surprising secret. It's actually created by merging two 2x2 puzzles at a 1x1x2 block, forming a unique siamese 2x2 configuration and filling in the gaps with extra cubies. This puzzle is part of an elite series of evil twin puzzles, including the 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 versions. As the designer of these extensions, my goal was to create a final product that mimics a 57mm 3x3x2 Rubik's Cube using 24 mm 2x2s. You can easily scale the parts if you prefer to use different sized 2x2s for your puzzle. The build process is remarkably simple and fun, making it an excellent DIY project. I'm confident that you'll have a blast creating this puzzle yourself, assuming you're up for the challenge. If you want to see the assembly process in action, be sure to check out my video series Print It Yourself on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFyJiC25pX8 Below is a step-by-step guide to help you bring this puzzle to life: Cut off an edge of each 2x2 puzzle piece so that they fit perfectly into the two "connector" pieces. Glue them in place, and voilà! You'll have a siamese 2x2 configuration. Next, cover all exposed corners with the 12 "extension" pieces to create a siamese 2x2 with 19mm cubies. Finally, attach the four "cubie" pieces to fill in the remaining corners and complete the 3x3x2 shape. Feel free to get creative with your gluing technique – there are no wrong combinations! Just be sure to glue each cubie to only one of the 2x2s in the siamese 2x2 configuration. If you have any questions or need assistance, I recommend posting a comment on my YouTube video as it's where you'll receive the fastest response. I don't frequently check Thingiverse, so if you ask a question here, be prepared for a slightly longer wait time for a response.
