Evil Spool Hanger
thingiverse
This holder is designed to be screwed securely into the wall above and behind your printer. Hang your spool on it and feed the line directly into your printer. The holder features 4 screw pilot holes, ensuring a sturdy attachment to the wall. Its post is generously wide enough to hold any of the spools I have available. If you need to accommodate something wider, please let me know. Having the spools overhead significantly simplifies the process of loading filament on my FFC dual printer. Suggestions for improvements are eagerly welcomed and will be carefully considered. Print Settings Notes: I printed this post using PLA with the following settings: Temperature: 200/60 degrees Celsius Speed: 75/75 mm/s Layer height: 0.2 mm Number of shells: 3 Infill percentage: 10% If you experience any issues printing the post, try reducing the infill to 0% and increasing the number of shells to 10. No raft or support material should be required for this print. Post-Printing After the print had cooled, I used a mallet to pound the post firmly into the hole in the wall piece. The post is held securely in place by friction. For added stability, I mounted it with two short wood screws.
