Spiny Scale Tree Scientific: Lepidodendron aculeatum About This Package: This package contains a comprehensive series of staged models representing the entire lifecycle of a single plant. It includes staged models for maturity and health, totaling 24 models. The same species can also be found in 12 separate variations containing a subset of these staging models; look for them in the EVERYPlant store. This unique plant variation cannot be found in any other package. Habitat: Extinct tree-sized, tree-like plant from the Carboniferous Period to the late Triassic (about 360 to 205 million years ago). Range: Fossils have been discovered extensively throughout the world. Notes: Though resembling a tree superficially, this plant was most closely related to modern quillworts. As it grew, its central stem split into exactly two branches, and each branch further split into exactly two more as the plant matured; further dichotomical branching occurred until the plant reached full maturity. Oval-shaped cones were found at the ends of its branches. The plant shed its lower leaves as it grew, resulting in a scar-pattern on its stem and branches, which gives it its name of scale tree. Included In This Package: 24 models in total Maturity: Seedling -- 4,873 polygons -- 1.52m tall. Emerging from the ground at its earliest stage. Sapling -- 5,228 polygons -- 2.03m tall. Small and young plant developing its true leaves. Formative -- 6,048 polygons -- 2.85m tall. Plant is beginning to develop into its mature form; branches are emerging. Immature -- 7,333 polygons -- 3.7m tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect. Developing -- 14,635 polygons -- 6.16m tall. Gaining its mature aspect and beginning to develop into its final form. Young -- 121,244 polygons -- 11.36m tall. Smaller plant halfway through its maturing cycle. Growing -- 239,536 polygons -- 16.5m tall. Plant is in its mature aspect and growing. Young Mature -- 473,771 polygons -- 20.51m tall. Fully matured but not at its full height yet. Growing Mature -- 536,999 polygons -- 22.29m tall. Plant is in its final form but still growing. Mature -- 580,479 polygons -- 23.24m tall. Fully mature and grown. Old -- 602,210 polygons -- 24.72m tall. Larger plant with twisted growth. Ancient -- 1,027,467 polygons -- 26.49m tall. Very old plant, larger than normal, considerably gnarled, and with heavier, drooping branches. Health: Flourishing -- 580,467 polygons -- 23.24m tall. Plant is in perfect health with no damage or disease. Thriving -- 580,493 polygons -- 23.24m tall. Plant is in great health with very little damage or disease. Healthy -- 580,479 polygons -- 23.24m tall. In a normal stage of health with some minor damage or disease. Unhealthy -- 558,278 polygons -- 23.19m tall. Relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Withering -- 340,568 polygons -- 22.73m tall. In steep decline, reaching the point of no return. Dying -- 232,520 polygons -- 22.47m tall. Tree is just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Morbid -- 163,758 polygons -- 21.6m tall. Past the point of no return, now in decline and decay. Dead -- 158,185 polygons -- 21.57m tall. Showing only broken and dead foliage. Dead and Uprooted -- 158,331 polygons -- 7.71m tall. Dead plant fallen onto its side. Re-meshing Available Upon Request: Adaptive mesh for lower poly count (default setting), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) to cater for detailed renders, which is the default map size and is included in each of the file format download files. However, these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny maps are also available upon request.
