Spiny Scale Tree Scientific: Lepidodendron aculeatum This Variation: 1 of 12 Habitat: Extinct tree-sized, tree-like plant from the Carboniferous Period to the late Triassic (about 360 to 205 million years ago). Range: Fossils have been discovered extensively throughout the world. Notes: Although it resembled a true tree superficially, this plant was closely related to modern quillworts. Its central stem eventually split into exactly two branches as it matured, and each branch further split into exactly two more. The process continued until the plant reached full maturity. Oval-shaped cones formed at the ends of its branches. As the plant grew, it shed its lower leaves, resulting in a scar-pattern on its stem and branches. This pattern gives the Spiny Scale Tree its name. Included in this Package: 15 models in total Standard -- 534,144 polygons -- 23.13m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy. Suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 543,883 polygons -- 23.14m tall. Showing increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 510,814 polygons -- 23.13m tall. In a poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 185,419 polygons -- 23.13m tall. Plant is clinging to life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 58,750 polygons -- 11.45m tall. Showing only dead foliage. Uprooted -- 59,131 polygons -- 5.73m tall. Dead or dying plant that has fallen onto its side. Ancient -- 973,306 polygons -- 26.34m tall. Very old plant showing further branching. Young Mature -- 449,621 polygons -- 20.25m tall. Fully mature but not at full height yet. Young -- 118,675 polygons -- 11.07m tall. Smaller plant halfway through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 7,778 polygons -- 3.67m tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached maturity; stem has not yet split. Sapling -- 5,883 polygons -- 2.04m tall. Very young and small plant. No Fruit -- 505,659 polygons -- 23.13m tall. Same as the Standard model but without fruiting spore-pods. Less Fruit -- 522,003 polygons -- 23.13m tall. Same as the Standard model but with fewer fruiting spore-pods. More Fruit -- 538,935 polygons -- 23.13m tall. Same as the Standard model but with more fruiting spore-pods. Simplified -- 265,245 polygons -- 23.05m tall. Same as the Standard model but without displacement; intended for mid or distant renders. Re-meshing available upon request; adaptive mesh for lower poly count, uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request; no charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) for detailed renders; default map size and included in each file format download file. However, these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny
