Name: Seashore Palm\n\nScientific: Allagoptera arenaria\n\nThis Variation: 5 of 20\n\nHabitat: This palm grows well in sandy soils, particularly along tropical and sub-tropical coastlines.\n\nRange: Originally found only on the east side of Brazil, it has now spread to many tropical and subtropical beaches worldwide.\n\nNotes: A small, compact palm often discovered in sandy dunes along tropical and sub-tropical beaches. It develops a hidden trunk that is rarely seen above ground. Fossil records show this plant has been around for millions of years, possibly even before most other palms evolved.\n\nIncluded in this Package: 9 detailed models in total\n\nStandard -- 232,455 polygons -- 1.59m tall. This fully mature palm is producing fruit and is in relatively good health, showing some disease and yellowing foliage as normal. Suitable for most scenes and applications.\nDistressed -- 212,373 polygons -- 1.59m tall. Exhibiting increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds.\nUnhealthy -- 160,423 polygons -- 1.49m tall. In a poor state with much of its foliage either diseased or missing.\nDead -- 7,621 polygons -- 72.17cm tall. Displaying only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage.\nYoung -- 219,231 polygons -- 1.34m tall. Smaller plant approximately half way through its maturing cycle.\nImmature -- 184,674 polygons -- 85.45cm tall. The plant has yet to reach maturity and is without fruit.\nNo Fruit -- 229,696 polygons -- 1.59m tall. Identical to the standard model except fruit has not been generated. This saves poly count and makes it suitable for mid to distant renders where finer details are less necessary.\nNo Dead Fronds -- 225,429 polygons -- 1.59m tall. All dead fronds have been removed as would be expected in a well-manicured environment such as a beachside resort.\nSimplified -- 222,670 polygons -- 1.59m tall. Fine details such as fruit and dead fronds have not been included. A simplified model with lower poly count that is ideal for distant renders.\nLowPoly variations are available upon request, along with other models to suit specific requirements.\n\nRe-meshing options are also available upon request, including adaptive mesh, uniform mesh, strict quads, tris, mixed meshes and modifications in poly count. These services come free of charge to existing customers.\n\nEVERYPlant has an ambitious goal - modelling every plant species known to science (alongside some extinct, fantastical and sci-fi variations)! Of course this might not be achievable, but we're at least committed to modelling all easily identifiable plant species with a common name. Want to track our progress?
