River Black Gum Scientific: Eucalyptus camaldulensis This Variation: 10 of 12 Habitat: Dominant tree of riverine systems, thriving in both permanent and seasonal water-sources. Range: Indigenous to Australia. Widespread throughout the continent, particularly alongside inland waterways. It is a highly sought-after plantation species grown globally. In many countries, it has inadvertently escaped into the wild, becoming a prolific invasive species. The tree has been unintentionally introduced to North America, Europe, and Asia. Notes: This iconic Australian tree is the most widespread and abundant on the continent. It can rapidly grow up to 45m in height. These trees have a tendency to drop large branches (often half the diameter of the trunk) without warning, earning it the nickname 'widow-maker'. This form of self-pruning may be a means of conserving water or simply a result of its brittle wood. The tree often becomes extremely gnarled when growing near poor or intermittent water sources; it is much straighter when access to constant water is available. Included in this Package: 14 models in total Standard -- 489,713 polygons -- 28.73m tall. Green, fully mature, and relatively healthy. Suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 425,506 polygons -- 28.73m tall. Showing increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken branches. Unhealthy -- 305,989 polygons -- 28.73m tall. In a relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 167,522 polygons -- 25.93m tall. Tree is just hanging on to life, showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 140,897 polygons -- 19.9m tall. Showing only bare and broken branches and dead foliage. Its trunk may be broken part way up. Uprooted -- 205,274 polygons -- 11.86m tall. Dead or dying tree that has fallen onto its side. It may be a full-length trunk, or a broken one. Ancient -- 566,002 polygons -- 33.12m tall. A very old tree, larger than normal, considerably gnarled, and with heavier, drooping branches. Young Mature -- 419,574 polygons -- 25.11m tall. Fully matured but not at its full height yet. Young -- 143,244 polygons -- 15.96m tall. Smaller plant some half way through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 6,850 polygons -- 4.75m tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect. Sapling -- 516 polygons -- 1.31m tall. Very small and young plant. Less Gnarled -- 440,527 polygons -- 28.14m tall. A straighter, less tortured version of the tree. More Gnarled -- 531,846 polygons -- 28.65m tall. A more twisted and gnarled version of the tree. Displacement -- 953,397 polygons -- 28.73m tall. Same as Standard model except the trunk and branches have displacement applied to it, adding to the detail level and increasing poly count. Intended for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, eg adaptive mesh for lower poly count (this is the default setting and is as supplied), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) to cater for detailed renders, this is the default map size and is included in each of the file format download files, no need for separate downloads. However these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny
