River Red Gum Scientific Name: Eucalyptus camaldulensis This Variation: 2 of 12 Habitat: The River Red Gum is a prominent tree species found in riverine systems, thriving both alongside permanent water sources and seasonal ones. Range: Native to Australia, this tree has spread its roots throughout the continent, particularly beside inland water courses. It's also a highly sought-after plantation species grown globally, and has escaped into the wild in many countries, becoming a prolific invasive species. Unintentionally introduced to North America, Europe, and Asia, it's now found on every continent. Notes: This iconic Australian tree is the most widespread and abundant on the continent, growing up to 45 meters tall in no time. Its tendency to drop large branches without warning has earned it the nickname "widow-maker," but this self-pruning mechanism may be a way for the tree to conserve water or simply a result of its brittle wood. When grown near poor or intermittent water sources, these trees become extremely gnarled; however, they remain straighter when constantly exposed to water. Included in This Package: 14 models in total Standard - 454,296 polygons - 32.92m tall Fully mature and in good health, this model is suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed - 399,129 polygons - 32.92m tall Showing increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken branches. Unhealthy - 294,569 polygons - 32.95m tall In a relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying - 122,035 polygons - 7.28m tall The tree is barely holding on to life, showcasing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead - 122,035 polygons - 7.28m tall Bare and broken branches are all that's left of this once-mighty tree; its trunk may be broken part way up. Uprooted - 167,989 polygons - 5.69m tall A dead or dying tree that has fallen onto its side, it may be a full-length trunk or a broken one. Ancient - 639,275 polygons - 44.34m tall A very old and gnarled tree, larger than normal, with heavier, drooping branches. Young Mature - 350,084 polygons - 27.17m tall Fully matured but not yet at its full height. Young - 118,172 polygons - 16.96m tall Smaller plant halfway through its maturing cycle. Immature - 6,407 polygons - 5.24m tall A small and young plant that hasn't reached its mature aspect. Sapling - 351 polygons - 1.44m tall Very small and young plant. Less Gnarled - 411,121 polygons - 33.7m tall A straighter and less tortured version of the tree. More Gnarled - 493,583 polygons - 32.55m tall A more twisted and gnarled version of the tree. Displacement - 916,945 polygons - 32.92m tall The same as the standard model but with displacement applied to its trunk and branches, increasing detail level and poly count. Intended for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, including adaptive mesh for lower poly count (this is the default setting), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request at no additional cost to existing customers. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) for detailed renders; however, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny maps are also available for faster rendering on lower-spec systems.
