Range: Found throughout the tropics, estuarine ecosystems inhabit places such as the Americas, Caribbean, Africa, Oceania, Australia, and other territories. Notes: Recognized as the best known mangrove tree, this species stands out due to its stilt roots, which provide its distinct appearance. Seeds develop completely before falling, capable of surviving in salt-water for up to a year and enabling it to establish itself in new territories.
