Habitat: Date Palms thrive in areas with well-drained sandy soil, found throughout their natural range. Range: Originating from northern Africa, but exact origin is unclear due to extensive cultivation and historical use. Notes: This plant has been cultivated for over 8,000 years, developing a rich history with human civilization. Today it's grown extensively in orchards across Africa and Asia, as well as being used as an ornamental species worldwide. Distressed -- 1,359 polygons -- 22.18m tall. Showing increased foliage damage and disease, with missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 1,167 polygons -- 22.31m tall. In a poor state, with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 537 polygons -- 20.12m tall. Plant is barely hanging on to life, showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 217 polygons -- 16.1m tall. Showing only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Ancient -- 1,246 polygons -- 23.87m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model, with a slower growth rate at greater age. Young Mature -- 1,216 polygons -- 19.92m tall. Fully matured but with a relatively short trunk. Young -- 761 polygons -- 12.25m tall. Smaller plant part way through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 267 polygons -- 5.24m tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect. This is a LowPoly model, with a HighPoly version also available. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) for detailed renders. However, these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny 256x256 texture sizes are also included.
