Habitat: In its natural range, Date Palms can thrive in most places with well-drained sandy soil. Range: Native to northern Africa, but exact origin is difficult to determine due to extensive cultivation. Notes: This plant has been cultivated for over 8,000 years and has a long history with human civilization. Today it's grown in extensive orchards in Africa and Asia, as well as an ornamental species in many parts of the world. Included in this Package: 10 models in total Standard -- 1,596 polygons -- 23.29m tall. Fully mature and in relative health. Usable in most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 1,750 polygons -- 23.42m tall. Showing an increased level of foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 1,570 polygons -- 23.91m tall. In a relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 866 polygons -- 22.93m tall. Plant is just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 312 polygons -- 18.08m tall. Showing only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Ancient -- 1,586 polygons -- 25.12m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model (palms grow very slowly at greater age). Young Mature -- 1,578 polygons -- 20.76m tall. Fully matured but with a relatively short trunk. Young -- 1,053 polygons -- 12.96m tall. Smaller plant part half way through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 341 polygons -- 5.63m tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect. First Fronds-- 181 polygons -- 2.78m tall. Very small and young plant. It has only a very short trunk and its true fronds have just developed.
