Name: Date Palm Scientific: Phoenix dactylifera This Variation: 15 of 20 Habitat: Found thriving in places with well-drained sandy soil, its natural range encompasses most environments. Range: Natively originating from northern Africa, the exact origin is still uncertain due to widespread cultivation over thousands of years. Notes: This plant has a rich history dating back over 8,000 years, being cultivated extensively for its uses in human society. Today, it's grown not only for its fruit but also as an ornamental species in many parts of the world. Included in this Package: 10 models available Standard -- 607,160 polygons -- 19.7m tall. In a healthy state with mature and fruiting foliage. Aged some diseased and yellowing leaves are normal, suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 573,178 polygons -- 19.7m tall. Foliage is damaged and diseased, with several missing fronds. Best used in situations where imperfections are needed. Unhealthy -- 290,512 polygons -- 20.5m tall. Much of its foliage is either missing or severely affected by disease, indicating a decline in overall health. Dead -- 77,133 polygons -- 16.5m tall. Almost devoid of foliage, the only signs of life left are some bare and broken fronds, indicating that it has ceased to grow. Young -- 564,791 polygons -- 12.1m tall. Approximately half its way through the maturation cycle with an undersized trunk compared to full-grown Date Palms. Immature -- 214,364 polygons -- 4.8m tall. Yet to reach its maximum size, displaying a much shorter trunk in proportion to height and lacks many features found on mature trees. No Fruit -- 394,718 polygons -- 19.7m tall. A variant of the standard model but without fruit details generated. Ideal for close renders or detailed textures aren't needed as they help cut down on polygon count. No Dead Fronds -- 518,979 polygons -- 19.7m tall. Used to represent trees on well-cultivated lands like plantations by not displaying typical bare hanging parts. Least Detail -- 301,647 polygons -- 19.7m tall. Every feature that adds more complexity, including fruits and frond ends aren't here making a lower polygon model, most useful for rendering from a distance where extra features wouldn't show. Trunk Displacement -- 1,847,938 polygons -- 19.8m tall. More texture can be added with this detail which greatly increases poly counts giving it a lot of detail especially noticeable in up-close images.
