Range: Native to northern Africa, their exact origin is difficult to determine due to extensive cultivation over thousands of years. Notes: This plant has been cultivated for more than 8,000 years and has a long history with human civilization. Today it is grown in large orchards in Africa and Asia, as well as an ornamental species in many parts of the world. In a relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 297,846 polygons -- 18.2m tall. Plant is just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage.
