Date Palm Scientific: Phoenix dactylifera This Variation: 9 of 20 Habitat: In most areas with well-drained sandy soil, Date Palms thrive in their natural range. Range: Possibly originating from northern Africa, but their exact origin remains unclear due to extensive cultivation. Notes: For over 8,000 years, humans have cultivated this plant, making it an integral part of human civilization. Today, extensive orchards are dedicated to its growth in Africa and Asia, as well as being an ornamental species globally. Included in this Package: 10 models in total Standard -- 1,088,351 polygons -- 18.8m tall. Mature and fruiting, the tree shows some diseased and yellowing foliage as normal, making it usable in various scenes and applications. Distressed -- 793,740 polygons -- 18.9m tall. The increased level of foliage damage and disease, along with missing and broken fronds, give this model a worn appearance. Unhealthy -- 477,326 polygons -- 19.4m tall. In a relatively poor state, the tree shows much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dead -- 61,516 polygons -- 15.2m tall. Only bare and broken fronds remain, along with dead foliage. Young -- 1,064,331 polygons -- 10.2m tall. A smaller tree, half way through its maturing cycle, displays an incomplete shape. Immature -- 173,660 polygons -- 5.5m tall. This young tree hasn't reached its mature aspect and features a shorter trunk compared to overall height. No Fruit -- 313,680 polygons -- 18.8m tall. The same as the standard model but without fruit generated, it's useful for mid to distant renders where finer details are not necessary, saving on poly count. No Dead Fronds -- 1,019,521 polygons -- 18.8m tall. This tree lacks dead fronds that would hang against its trunk in a wild or untamed situation. Least Detail -- 236,853 polygons -- 18.8m tall. The model includes little to no detail such as fruit, dead fronds, and frond stubs, making it ideal for distant renders with low poly count. Trunk Displacement -- 2,002,487 polygons -- 18.8m tall. This version features displacement applied to the trunk, adding to its detail level and increasing poly count for close-up renders. LowPoly variations available upon request. Re-meshing available upon request, such as adaptive mesh, uniform mesh, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc., with no additional charge to existing customers. Many other modifications to models are also available upon request with no added cost to existing customers of the product.
