Range: Native to northern Africa, but their exact origin remains a mystery due to extensive cultivation over thousands of years. Notes: This plant has been cultivated for an astonishing 8,000 years and has played a significant role in human civilization. Today, it is grown extensively in Africa and Asia, as well as being used as an ornamental species around the world. Included in this Package: 16 models in total Standard -- 877,899 polygons -- 20.39m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy. Suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 879,243 polygons -- 20.38m tall. Displaying increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 731,740 polygons -- 20.54m tall. In a poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 369,190 polygons -- 18.89m tall. The plant is barely holding on to life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 204,661 polygons -- 17.32m tall. Showing only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Uprooted -- 305,206 polygons -- 2.3m tall. A dead or dying plant that has fallen onto its side. Ancient -- 952,479 polygons -- 22.04m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model (palms grow very slowly at greater age). It may also have a heavier fruit burden. Young Mature -- 873,894 polygons -- 18.31m tall. Fully matured but with a relatively short trunk. Young -- 707,654 polygons -- 10.63m tall. A smaller plant half way through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 234,097 polygons -- 5.61m tall. The plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect. First Fronds-- 93,625 polygons -- 2.75m tall. Very small and young plant. It has only a very short trunk and its true fronds have just developed. No Fruit -- 704,458 polygons -- 20.39m tall. Same as the Standard model but with no fruit. Less Fruit -- 877,899 polygons -- 20.39m tall. Same as the Standard model but with less fruit. More Fruit -- 1,252,537 polygons -- 20.39m tall. Same as the Standard model but with extra fruit. No Dead Fronds -- 914,907 polygons -- 20.39m tall. All dead fronds are missing as you would expect for a plant in a curated situation, such as on a plantation. Displacement -- 1,001,667 polygons -- 20.39m tall. Same as Standard model except the trunk has displacement applied to it, adding to the detail level and increasing poly count. Intended for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, eg adaptive mesh for lower poly count (this is the default setting and is as supplied), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product.
