Human: Name: Common Horsetail Scientific: Equisetum arvense This Variation: 12 of 12 Habitat: This versatile plant thrives in a wide range of environments. It is commonly found in moist and open woodlands, pastures, agricultural lands, roadsides, disturbed areas, and near the edge of streams. Range: The common horsetail is native to the arctic and temperate regions of the northern hemisphere where it is widespread, growing well into the arctic circle in North America and as far south as Texas. It grows almost as far north in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia and as far south as India, and Iran. It occurs less frequently in the southern hemisphere, but can be found in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Madagascar, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand. Notes: The common horsetail is a hardy herbaceous perennial plant with separate sterile, non-reproductive and fertile, spore-bearing stems growing from a robust perennial underground system. The fertile stems are produced early in spring and are non-photosynthetic, while the green sterile stems start to grow after the fertile stems have wilted and persist through the summer until the first autumn frosts. The plant is challenging to eradicate due to its extensive rhizomes and deeply buried tubers. Fire, mowing, or slashing is ineffective at removing the plant as new stems quickly grow from the rhizomes. Some herbicides remove aerial growth but regrowth quickly occurs albeit with a reduction in frond density. Included in this Package: 15 models in total Standard -- 79,718 polygons -- 80.42cm tall. The plant as it is found throughout most of the year shows a full growth of green stems. Useable in most scenes and applications. Early Spring -- 24,924 polygons -- 7.5cm tall. Early growth with emerging fertile stems begins to take shape. Mid Spring -- 83,375 polygons -- 19.55cm tall. A full growth of fertile stems reaches its peak. Late Spring -- 134,528 polygons -- 19.55cm tall. Fertile stems are in full bloom with some emerging green stems starting to grow. End Spring -- 199,624 polygons -- 48.14m tall. Dying fertile stems and partially grown green stems begin to show signs of decline. Early Summer -- 176,634 polygons - 75.48cm tall. Wilting fertile stems give way to growing green stems. Distressed -- 83,533 polygons -- 80.42cm tall. Showing an increased level of foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 69,884 polygons -- 75.13cm tall. In a relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 56,708 polygons -- 83.36cm tall. The plant is just hanging onto life showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 47,109 polygons -- 55.08cm tall. Showing only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Single Plant -- 2,784 polygons -- 41.11cm tall. Same as the Standard model but with only a single stem. Less Plants -- 47,461 polygons -- 71.26cm tall. Same as the Standard model but with fewer plants. More Plants -- 180,926 polygons -- 80.42cm tall. Same as the Standard model but with an increased number of plants. Smaller Cluster -- 79,718 polygons -- 80.42cm tall. Same as the Standard model but with a smaller, tighter packed cluster. Larger Cluster -- 79,718 polygons -- 80.42cm tall. Same as the Standard model but with a wider, sparser cluster. Re-meshing available upon request, eg adaptive mesh for lower poly count (this is the default setting and is as supplied), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) to cater for detailed renders, this is the default map size and is included in each of the file format download files, no need for seperate downloads. However these may be slow to load or render on some system and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny
