Coconut Palm Scientific: Cocos nucifera This Variation: 4 of 12 Habitat: Thriving in warm, wet tropical and sub-tropical environments on sandy soil. Range: Found virtually everywhere in the world's tropical and sub-tropical areas. Highly tolerant of saltiness, it dominates coastlines in the tropics. Notes: A symbol of idyllic beach paradises, coconut palms are vital for food and building materials for many cultures worldwide. Evidence suggests they've been cultivated since prehistoric times. Their trunks, though tree-like, are actually a fibrous collection of overlapping stems. Included in this Package: 18 models in total Standard -- 378,182 polygons -- 26.01m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy. Suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 350,937 polygons -- 26.01m tall. Showing increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 293,556 polygons -- 24.02m tall. In a poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 181,074 polygons -- 23.61m tall. Just hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 112,509 polygons -- 22.01m tall. Showing bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Uprooted -- 172,719 polygons -- 2.15m tall. Dead or dying plant that has fallen on its side. Ancient -- 386,805 polygons -- 27.92m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model (palms grow very slowly at greater age). May also have a heavier fruit burden. Young Mature -- 374,611 polygons -- 18.83m tall. Fully matured but with a shorter trunk as it hasn't finished growing. Young -- 287,022 polygons -- 8.44m tall. Smaller plant halfway through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 84,069 polygons -- 4.83m tall. Small and hasn't reached its mature aspect yet. First Fronds-- 46,227 polygons -- 1.91m tall. Very small and young plant with only a short trunk and true fronds just developed. Leaning -- 378,191 polygons -- 25.96m tall. Trunk noticeably askewed to one side. Bent -- 378,305 polygons -- 22.75m tall. Trunk extremely askew to one side and may be parallel to the ground. No Fruit -- 359,058 polygons -- 26.01m tall. Same as Standard model but with no fruit. Less Fruit -- 369,834 polygons -- 26.01m tall. Same as Standard model but with less fruit. More Fruit -- 436,846 polygons -- 26.01m tall. Same as Standard model but with extra fruit. No Dead Fronds -- 388,960 polygons -- 26.01m tall. All dead fronds are missing, suitable for a curated situation like a resort beach. Displacement -- 430,605 polygons -- 26.01m tall. Same as Standard model except the trunk has displacement applied to it, adding detail and increasing poly count. Intended for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, such as adaptive mesh for lower poly count (default setting), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) for detailed renders. This is the default map size and included in each file format download, no need for separate downloads. However these may be slow to load or render on some systems and not necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny 512x512 maps are also available.
