Name: Coconut Palm Scientific: Cocos nucifera This Variation: 3 of 12 Habitat: Thriving on sandy soil in warm, wet tropical and sub-tropical climates. Range: Widespread across virtually all tropical and sub-tropical regions worldwide. Its high tolerance for salinity makes it a primary coastal plant in the tropics. Notes: Long synonymous with tropical beach paradises, the coconut palm is a vital source of food and building material for many cultures around the world. Evidence suggests it has been cultivated since prehistoric times. Its trunk, though tree-like, is actually not wood but a fibrous collection of overlapping stems. Included in this Package: 18 models in total Standard -- 435,378 polygons -- 26.2m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy. Suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 416,215 polygons -- 26.2m tall. Showing increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 353,433 polygons -- 22.54m tall. In a poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 237,361 polygons -- 24.22m tall. Plant is just hanging on to life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 137,344 polygons -- 21.96m tall. Showing only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Uprooted -- 193,001 polygons -- 2.22m tall. Dead or dying plant that has fallen onto its side. Ancient -- 447,429 polygons -- 28.12m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model (palms grow very slowly with age). It may also have a heavier fruit burden. Young Mature -- 430,095 polygons -- 19.25m tall. Fully matured but with a shorter trunk as it hasn't finished growing. Young -- 294,945 polygons -- 9.8m tall. Smaller plant half way through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 106,352 polygons -- 4.41m tall. Plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect. First Fronds-- 42,710 polygons -- 2.38m tall. Very small and young plant with only a short trunk and true fronds that have just developed. Leaning -- 435,406 polygons -- 26.11m tall. The trunk is noticeably askew to one side. Bent -- 435,536 polygons -- 21.54m tall. The trunk is extremely askew to one side and may be parallel to the ground. No Fruit -- 424,063 polygons -- 26.2m tall. Same as the Standard model but with no fruit. Less Fruit -- 424,063 polygons -- 26.2m tall. Same as the Standard model but with less fruit. More Fruit -- 486,528 polygons -- 26.2m tall. Same as the Standard model but with extra fruit. No Dead Fronds -- 454,067 polygons -- 26.2m tall. All dead fronds are missing as you would expect for a plant in a curated situation such as on a resort beach. Displacement -- 517,936 polygons -- 26.2m tall. Same as Standard model except the trunk has displacement applied to it adding detail and increasing poly count. Intended for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, eg adaptive mesh for lower poly count (default setting and as supplied), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) to cater for detailed renders. This is the default map size and is included in each of the file format download files, no need for separate downloads. However these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny
