Name: Coconut Palm Scientific: Cocos nucifera This Variation: 1 of 12 Habitat: Thrives on sandy soil in warm, wet tropical and sub-tropical environments. Range: Extremely widespread, found in virtually all tropical and sub-tropical areas around the world. The plant is highly tolerant of salinity, making it a primary coastal plant in the tropics. Notes: Long held synonymous with tropical beach paradises, the coconut palm is an essential source of food and building material for many peoples worldwide. Evidence suggests it has been cultivated since prehistoric times. Its trunk, though tree-like, is actually not wood but a fibrous collection of overlapping stems. Included in this Package: 18 models in total Standard -- 397,201 polygons -- 26.93m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy. Usable in most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 389,869 polygons -- 26.93m tall. Showing an increased level of foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 326,089 polygons -- 27.26m tall. In a poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 219,720 polygons -- 25.3m tall. Plant is hanging onto life and showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 111,359 polygons -- 22.66m tall. Showing only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Uprooted -- 192,230 polygons -- 2.56m tall. Dead or dying plant that has fallen onto its side. Ancient -- 404,843 polygons -- 28.83m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model (palms grow very slowly with age). May also have a heavier fruit burden. Young Mature -- 393,139 polygons -- 19.52m tall. Fully matured but with a shorter trunk as it has not finished growing. Young -- 287,981 polygons -- 7.86m tall. Smaller plant half way through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 112,169 polygons -- 3.71m tall. Plant is small and has not reached its mature aspect. First Fronds-- 56,084 polygons -- 2.17m tall. Very small and young plant with only a very short trunk and its true fronds just developed. Leaning -- 397,228 polygons -- 26.78m tall. The trunk is noticeably askew to one side. Bent -- 397,513 polygons -- 20.53m tall. The trunk is extremely askew to one side and may be parallel to the ground. No Fruit -- 371,247 polygons -- 26.93m tall. Same as the Standard model but with no fruit. Less Fruit -- 389,432 polygons -- 26.93m tall. Same as the Standard model but with less fruit. More Fruit -- 449,997 polygons -- 26.93m tall. Same as the Standard model but with extra fruit. No Dead Fronds -- 416,630 polygons -- 26.93m tall. All dead fronds are missing as you would expect for a plant in a curated situation, such as on a resort beach. Displacement -- 515,647 polygons -- 26.93m tall. Same as Standard model except the trunk has displacement applied to it, adding to the detail level and increasing poly count. Intended for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, eg adaptive mesh for lower poly count (this is the default setting and is as supplied), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) to cater for detailed renders, this is the default map size and is included in each of the file format download files, no need for separate downloads. However these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny
