Name: Coastal Redwood Scientific: Sequoia sempervirens This Variation: 12 of 12 Habitat: Growing within its coastal mountainous range, the tree thrives in regions where ocean moisture brings consistent precipitation. Tallest and oldest trees are found in deep valleys and gullies, where year-round streams flow freely and fog drip is a regular occurrence. Range: Occupying a narrow strip of land approximately 750 km long along North America's Pacific coast, this tree is found in Monterey County, California, to extreme southwestern Oregon. Notes: An evergreen species, the Coastal Redwood lives for over 1,800 years. Reaching heights exceeding 115m, it is the tallest living tree on Earth, surpassing the Giant Redwood. These trees are among the oldest living things, and their value in the lumber industry is unmatched. Fossil records show that they once inhabited a much broader range. Included in this Package: 12 models in total Standard -- 379,070 polygons -- 73.67m tall. A fully mature tree, in relative health, with green foliage, suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 339,073 polygons -- 73.67m tall. Showing increased damage to its foliage, disease, broken branches, and a lesser overall health status. Unhealthy -- 250,084 polygons -- 73.67m tall. In a poor state, with much of its foliage missing or diseased, it appears unhealthy. Dying -- 148,369 polygons -- 72.81m tall. Hanging onto life, this tree displays only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 24,092 polygons -- 23.39m tall. Bare and broken branches dominate the landscape, with a possible trunk break partway up. Uprooted -- 285,796 polygons -- 12.43m tall. A dead or dying tree that has fallen onto its side, it may be a full-length trunk or a broken one. Ancient -- 511,208 polygons -- 100.44m tall. A very old tree, larger than normal, with gnarled and heavier branches that droop downwards. Young Mature -- 340,913 polygons -- 63.22m tall. Fully matured but not yet at its full height, this tree is ready for most scenes and applications. Young -- 151,517 polygons -- 38.51m tall. A smaller plant halfway through its maturing cycle, it still has some way to go before reaching maturity. Immature -- 24,315 polygons -- 12.22m tall. This small plant has not yet reached its mature aspect and needs time to grow. Sapling -- 4,817 polygons -- 3.38m tall. A very young and small plant, it is still in the early stages of growth. Displacement -- 1,869,305 polygons -- 73.67m tall. With a higher poly count due to displacement applied to its trunk and branches, this model is ideal for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, including adaptive mesh for lower poly counts, uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc., all at no extra charge to existing customers.
