African Oil Palm Scientific: Elaeis guineensis This Variation: 12 of 12 Habitat: Growing abundantly in diverse soil types and locations worldwide, short of extreme desert and sub-desert conditions. Range: Native to west and southwest Africa, but commercially cultivated throughout the tropical regions globally. Notes: As the primary source of palm oil, this species is a commercially critical entity. It also poses significant environmental risks due to widespread cultivation, which often involves deforestation to make way for plantations. Included in this Package: 16 models in total Standard -- 332,532 polygons -- 19.25m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy. Suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 328,803 polygons -- 19.37m tall. Exhibiting increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 252,913 polygons -- 19.26m tall. In a poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 106,257 polygons -- 17.66m tall. The plant is barely clinging to life, displaying only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 54,380 polygons -- 15.58m tall. Showing only bare and broken fronds and dead foliage. Uprooted -- 86,406 polygons -- 1.62m tall. A dead or dying plant that has fallen onto its side. Ancient -- 670,232 polygons -- 20.98m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model (palms grow very slowly with age). It may also have a heavier fruit burden. Young Mature -- 326,375 polygons -- 10.17m tall. Fully matured but with a relatively short trunk. Favoured in plantations for easier harvesting of the fruit. Young -- 243,355 polygons -- 6.17m tall. A smaller plant half way through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 61,285 polygons -- 3.43m tall. The plant is small and hasn't reached its mature aspect. First Fronds-- 31,074 polygons -- 1.93m tall. Very small and young plant with only a short trunk and true fronds just developed. No Fruit -- 230,765 polygons -- 19.25m tall. Same as the Standard model but without fruit. Less Fruit -- 308,955 polygons -- 19.25m tall. Same as the Standard model but with less fruit. More Fruit -- 670,062 polygons -- 19.25m tall. Same as the Standard model but with extra fruit. No Dead Fronds -- 352,714 polygons -- 19.25m tall. All dead fronds are missing as expected for a plant in a curated situation, such as on a plantation. Displacement -- 405,572 polygons -- 19.25m tall. Same as Standard model except the trunk has displacement applied to it, adding detail and increasing poly count. Intended for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, eg adaptive mesh for lower poly count (this is the default setting), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request. No charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) for detailed renders, which is the default map size and included in each file format download, no need for separate downloads. However these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny 512x512 textures are also available upon request.
