Name: African Oil Palm Scientific: Elaeis guineensis This Variation: 9 of 12 Habitat: Growing naturally in a wide range of soil types and locations, excluding deserts and sub-deserts. Range: Originating from west and southwest Africa, it is commercially cultivated throughout the tropical regions. Notes: As the primary source of palm oil, this species holds significant commercial importance. However, its widespread cultivation has devastating environmental consequences due to large-scale deforestation to make way for plantations. Included in this Package: 17 models in total Standard -- 393,129 polygons -- 15.30m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy, suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 362,109 polygons -- 14.98m tall. Exhibiting increased foliage damage and disease, along with missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 286,520 polygons -- 15.19m tall. Showing a poor state of health, with significant foliage loss or disease. Dying -- 119,230 polygons -- 14.73m tall. Barely clinging to life, displaying only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 52,419 polygons -- 11.80m tall. Featuring bare and broken fronds, along with dead foliage. Uprooted -- 91,019 polygons -- 1.48m tall. A dead or dying plant that has fallen onto its side. Ancient -- 585,219 polygons -- 26.62m tall. Taller than the Standard model due to slower growth at greater age, it may also have a heavier fruit burden. Young Mature -- 390,130 polygons -- 8.16m tall. Fully mature but with a relatively short trunk, favored in plantations for easier harvesting of fruit. Young -- 271,320 polygons -- 5.42m tall. A smaller plant halfway through its maturing cycle. Immature -- 75,210 polygons -- 3.21m tall. A small plant that has not yet reached its mature aspect. First Fronds-- 32,510 polygons -- 1.74m tall. A very young plant with only a short trunk and true fronds recently developed. No Fruit -- 256,920 polygons -- 15.30m tall. Similar to the Standard model but without fruit. Less Fruit -- 369,720 polygons -- 15.30m tall. Identical to the Standard model but with less fruit. More Fruit -- 583,120 polygons -- 15.30m tall. Similar to the Standard model but with extra fruit. No Dead Fronds -- 407,220 polygons -- 15.30m tall. All dead fronds are missing as expected in a curated situation like a plantation. Displacement -- 480,320 polygons -- 15.30m tall. Similar to the Standard model except with displacement applied to the trunk, increasing detail and poly count for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, such as adaptive mesh for lower poly count (default setting), uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease, etc. No charge for existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request at no additional cost to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096) to cater for detailed renders, which is the default map size and included in each file format download. However, these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To accommodate this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny maps are also available.
