African Oil Palm Scientific: Elaeis guineensis This Variation: 2 of 12 Habitat: Growing abundantly in various soil types and locations, except in desert and sub-desert conditions. Range: Native to western and southwestern Africa, but commercially cultivated throughout the tropical regions. Notes: As the primary source of palm oil, this species is crucial for commercial purposes. However, it is also one of the most environmentally damaging due to widespread cultivation, which often results in deforestation to make way for plantations. Included in this Package: 16 models in total Standard -- 456,531 polygons -- 18.5m tall. Fully mature and relatively healthy, making it suitable for most scenes and applications. Distressed -- 420,270 polygons -- 18.55m tall. Showing increased foliage damage and disease, as well as missing and broken fronds. Unhealthy -- 330,839 polygons -- 18.56m tall. In a relatively poor state with much of its foliage missing or diseased. Dying -- 121,523 polygons -- 17.93m tall. The plant is barely holding on to life, showing only unhealthy and diseased foliage. Dead -- 55,169 polygons -- 14.95m tall. Only bare and broken fronds remain, with dead foliage. Uprooted -- 84,086 polygons -- 1.44m tall. Dead or dying plants that have fallen onto their sides. Ancient -- 715,739 polygons -- 20.18m tall. Slightly taller than the Standard model, as palms grow slowly at greater age. It may also carry a heavier fruit burden. Young Mature -- 447,332 polygons -- 9.45m tall. Fully matured but with a relatively short trunk, favored in plantations for easier harvesting of fruit. Young -- 329,152 polygons -- 5.95m tall. Smaller plants halfway through their maturing cycle. Immature -- 83,522 polygons -- 3.33m tall. Small plants that haven't reached their mature aspect. First Fronds -- 44,217 polygons -- 1.74m tall. Very small and young plants with short trunks and true fronds just developed. No Fruit -- 312,641 polygons -- 18.5m tall. Same as the Standard model but without fruit. Less Fruit -- 431,229 polygons -- 18.5m tall. Same as the Standard model but with less fruit. More Fruit -- 715,817 polygons -- 18.5m tall. Same as the Standard model but with extra fruit. No Dead Fronds -- 479,018 polygons -- 18.5m tall. All dead fronds are missing, as expected for a plant in a curated situation like on a plantation. Displacement -- 516,306 polygons -- 18.5m tall. Same as the Standard model but with trunk displacement applied, adding detail and increasing poly count, ideal for close-up renders. Re-meshing available upon request, including adaptive mesh for lower poly counts (default setting) or uniform mesh for easier editing, strict quads, tris, mixed, poly increase or decrease. No charge to existing customers of the product. Many other modifications to models also available upon request, no charge to existing customers of the product. The textures included in this pack are mainly 4k (4096x4096), suitable for detailed renders, although these may be slow to load or render on some systems and may not be necessary in all situations. To allow for this, medium 2k, small 1k, and tiny
