Eventorbot direct extruder V1.7
thingiverse
This direct extruder originates from the Eventorbot kit, riding atop the X-axis. Upgrade options are available (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:227289); this new filament guide simplifies and stabilizes the extruder while incorporating recent experiences. A final change will be shifting the hinge axis under or behind the drive gear to prevent the motor from being lifted due to filament pressure - although the new filament guide should reduce this issue. Print with 2 shells and 25% infill, attaching the front plate to the hotend bracket using M2.5 screws. Hinges accept M5 screws. Motor and filament guide can be fitted with original screws (flipped 180° and switch motor direction in firmware) or upgraded parts. Rollers for bearings are optional, depending on hardware store offerings; PLA is recommended due to stiffness and lack of heat deformation. Slicer scaling factor: 1000%.
