Even stronger rear hub for Chassis 1/10 Adaptable.
thingiverse
I printed the original and quickly shredded it with my 1700kV brushless motor, so I swapped to JSchwieb's stronger part. While it is stronger, I still was going through one almost every time I took the car outside so I decided to make it even stronger here. This design requires a nut to be placed in the hub and the cross-bolt that JSchwieb's design requires as well. I basically moved around the placement of the nut to not fall along a weak axis for me and increased the thickness of the part near where it kept failing for me. I printed in HatchBox PLA with 15 walls and I've only broken one so far (I broke about 6 of the previous "Stronger" ones in the same amount of driving time). I have also printed in Carbon Fiber Reinforced Nylon, and the only reason it broke was because I clipped a brick with the wheel. the Hub is actually fine, but the axle snapped!
