Eve Online - Coaster Holder
thingiverse
Eve Online coaster holder designed for NPC Corp Coasters [here](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4667000) and [here](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4673086) Two version presented: 1) a simple 4 pilar version with Eve on the base 2) a complex version with NPC station models for the 4 major factions on the posts and Eve on the base 1) Simple Model ---------------------- Printed in 2 parts with the below settings. Base and letters easily join without any post processing but a coat of epoxy is advised to keep everything in place and protect from moisture. 2) Complex Model ------------------------- Printed in 6 parts (base, each of the posts and Eve logo). Base printed with a cut out section for the posts to fit in with a dab of super glue. Print setting per the below. Posts were printed separately to the base using .25mm nozzle at 0.07 layer height to maximise detail. Printed vertically with an 8mm brim (yes this is massive for the model but as these are tall with very little contact to the bed without this size I experience lot of failures) and support from the base plate. Probably should have gone with a raft rather than a brim but am still learning the best ways to go about intricate models. Even with slowed down print speed and the big brim I had numerous failures (until settling on the 8mm brim) due to the complexity of the models with bed adhesion seeming to be the major issue over the course of these 8-9 hour prints. I increased the wall size to 4 as initial prints with the .25 nozzel felt too thin. Minmitar post was printed upside down to keep mass towards the baseplate. Full credit for the station models goes to [Kyle Cerniglia](https://github.com/Kyle-Cerniglia/EvE-3D-Printing) for incredible repository of Eve meshes including these station models available on his GitHub. ======================================== This work is copyright and intellectual property of CCP Games.
