EVA ADXL Mount
thingiverse
An ADXL mount for an EVA extruder. Fit this when you want to take measurements and remove it when you're done. Should be more solid that just bolting your ADXL345 to the relatively flimsy EVA shroud; unless you print it in ninjaflex :) You will require two longer, M3x30, cap head screws to mount it and two M3x10 to mount the ADXL345 to the bracket. This is not my creation. I just remixed it to push the ADXL345 back towards the rail a bit. The original design is from RURon on Github here: https://github.com/RURon/Vcore-Mods/tree/main/ADXL-horizontal Update: 08/10/21 Someone suggested that having the ADXL345 in a horizontal plane could let it bend at high accelerations. A brief test didn't seem to show that this was the case but as I had to make a vertical mount to test it I thought I'd stick it on here as well so you can choose which one to use. There are two versions; one using M3, 5mm diameter, 4mm deep heat inserts and the other using normal M3 nuts pulled into the back. Both of the vertical versions will need two M3x6 socket head screws to fit the ADXL to the mount and a 90 degree eight way pin header if you want the wires to come out of the top. March 22. Uploaded v3 versions of the upright mount that have a curve cutout to match the fan hole in the EVA shroud.
