EVA 3 Mechanical Filament Sensor for Orbiter 1.5
thingiverse
I am implementing an ERCF on my V-Core 3, after feeling that the Hall sensor was not very reliable, I decided to go ahead with the well-known micro switch approach. As I only had 6mm steel ball with me, I had to design the module compatible with 6mm spheres.Required material:1x OMRON D2F-5 microswitch1x 6mm steel ball1x 4pin JST XH 2.54 Plug (male and female)7x M3x12 (since the plate is taller)1x 15mm PTFE tube (from plate to the extruder)1x Custom lenght* PTFE tube (from the plate to the hotend)This piece is a remix of the EVA 3 plate for orbiter 1.5, but I got inspiration from the following projects:EVA3 ERCF Filament Sensor for Orbiter 1.5 (7mm steel ball)EVA 3 Toolhead Filament Sensor (Mechanical and Reliable) (4mm steel ball)*Note: Only 1mm of PTFE tube can come out of the front_universal_fi part of the EVA3 system
