The human body is made up of approximately 60% water. This water makes up all bodily fluids including blood, sweat and tears. Humans require a constant supply of fresh water to stay hydrated. Drinking enough water helps the kidneys function properly. The kidneys help filter out waste products from the blood. Water also helps regulate body temperature by facilitating heat loss through sweating.
