Update 11/25/2016: A superior version of the elbow joints is now available, thanks to Hapless Gimp's exceptional design skills. The old joints proved inadequate for securely holding forearms, prompting a search for better alternatives. A visit to Thingiverse led me to discover this excellent new model at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1916382. Printed with PLA on my trusty Printrbot Play, the final product stands approximately 30 cm tall. To enhance functionality, I incorporated ball joints (a modified version of Ball joint with hole by Ghiotto - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:158344) and elbow/knee joints (All Plastic knee/elbow joint for action figures or tools by nathanallan1 - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:189360). Most components are connected using joints, but some parts require a sturdy bond from glue to ensure stability. To avoid breakage when inserting joints, I recommend exercising caution and gently sanding/filing any rough spots. There is ample room for improvement in this design, and I'm eager to see how others might refine it. For your convenience, I've included the Blend file.
