A vehicle's electric motor power, similar to other vehicles, is gauged in kilowatts (kW). A 100 kW equates to approximately 134 horsepower; however, electric motors deliver their peak torque over an extensive RPM range. Consequently, a car with a 100 kW electric motor surpasses one with a 100 kW internal combustion engine, which can only supply maximum torque within confined engine speed limits.
