The holder can be placed right next to the charging station (wall box) to hold the plug and the charging cable when it is not in use. It's especially convenient when the type 2 charging cable stays at the parking spot of the car next to the charging station (wall box). When you need to charge the car, you simply pull out the cable from the type 2 wall holder and plug it into the car. This process takes only seconds, making charging a real pleasure. In this post, I will show how to print a type 2 holder for the type 2 socket with a 3D printer yourself. The holder even comes with a lock so that the plug cannot be pulled out accidentally. There are several variants of this type 2 holder. This is the inclined variant where the plug is inserted at an angle, which further improves the flow of water and reduces cable bending. The holder has a locking mechanism and can only be removed by pressing the button. The entire switch consists of three parts: a holder, lever, and cover. All you need in addition to the 3D printed parts are a normal spring (about 20x5mm) and an M3 screw with nut.
