EV Charge plug holder bottom part for KIA / Hyundai
thingiverse
I'm giving the charging head of my Kia/ Hyundai charging box a makeover, and it's not just a remix - it's a full-on remake. The bottom part is getting a complete overhaul to hold the charging head securely in place. The top portion of the original design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1425959) works flawlessly, but I wanted to make some significant changes to the lower section. My goal was to create a more efficient and reliable holder for the charging head, one that would provide a snug fit and prevent any accidental disconnections. I started by examining the original design's bottom portion, looking for ways to improve its functionality and aesthetics. After some careful consideration, I decided to go with a sleeker, more streamlined approach. The new design features a narrower profile, making it easier to store in my vehicle's glove compartment or center console. The charging head holder is now designed with a spring-loaded mechanism that ensures a secure connection every time. This feature adds an extra layer of protection against accidental disconnections, giving me peace of mind when I'm on the go. Overall, I'm thrilled with how this remake turned out. The new design not only looks great but also provides a more practical and reliable solution for holding my Kia/ Hyundai charging head in place.
