EV Cable pulley (for electric vehicle charger)

EV Cable pulley (for electric vehicle charger)

thingiverse

A pulley designed for enabling my EV charging cable to run above the car. My cable has a 16mm diameter, but the pulley is a bit wider than that. Please note: The cable does not bend fully around the pulley wheel as it is rather stiff. The pulley is intended to guide it rather than fully control the run, so to speak. Sketchup source included. Version 4+5 should be the best with bearings - the changes are for a bit more free space between wheel and block, and for the wheel to better avoid touching the bearing center (in v4) and the bolt (v5). However, v4+5 are untested since v3 works for me and printing three new sets is not worth it. Uses two 608zz bearings and an M8-60 bolt and nut. I wouldn't be surprised if v3+4 works well enough without bearings (wheel-v5 has the center hole enlarged so will not sit tight on the bolt), but this is also untested. I printed mine with 3 perimeters and 7% infill in PLA. Too early to say if the whole thing collapses when it gets hot next summer, but I think the infill is fine for my own setup at least. (the photo is of the v1 prototype which happened to lie just in the center of a polar printer, hence the wobble)
