Europlug Socket
thingiverse
I recently found out that local shops don't sell Europlug sockets, instead opting to offer a variety of grounded power sockets, which are significantly larger in size. To clarify, I needed a socket specifically designed for the Europlug (CEE 7/16 Alternative II plug, CEE 7/16 plug) and it had to be no wider than a standard power supply with an integrated plug. After examining a picture, I decided to design my own based on parts sourced from the grounded socket I already had, the Borsan BR1515. Further research revealed that this design also works well with components taken from another grounded socket, the Lezard 715-0600-606, although its contacts are smaller and less suitable for printed housing. While the primary purpose of the Europlug Socket is to accommodate europlugs, I adapted the design to fit other plain power plugs as well. Before printing, make sure you have incombustible plastic at your disposal and carefully read the Warning section.
