The original Model was crafted by onebitpixel and prints exceptionally well. However, I sought to create something that would keep floors in place since they moved easily, so I simply designed a small rectangle to attach to the bottom of upper floors and some roofs to serve as a bracing system. These additions are incredibly easy to make. I take the brace and apply a few drops of super glue to it, then carefully position it in place. Next, I place a lower floor on top of the inverted upper floor with the brace attached, aligning the two, before removing the lower floor and allowing the glue to dry completely. The small bracing system can also be used on the euro_house_01_roof_No_dormar_v2 & euro_house_01_roof_smooth roofs. For the small roof with Dormer windows, I created pegs that are glued into two corners of the roof to hold them in place. As I continue to learn and improve my 3D software, I plan to remix the roof design so it allows for the bracing system to work seamlessly with it. Additionally, I prefer to print the Dormer about 3-5% larger so that it has a slight overhang. The original euro_house_01_roof_No_dormar_v2 has some issues with its mesh, which is why I ran it through a program to "fix" it and made the bottom thicker to accommodate the bracing system. Using the Original small brick house as a template, I created a new design for a smooth-walled house with a 1st and 2nd floor. I remixed the brick house roof so that its sides are smooth to match the new design. I also developed some expansions to the houses to enable "add-ons" that can help make each house look unique. These additions were designed to work on the small houses but should be compatible with the large house 02 as well. I may create windows for some of these expansions in the future, but that will be addressed later. The expansions are 78, 60, and 40mm wide, which allows them to "attach" to the side of a house like an add-on. I am considering creating a two-story expansion, although I am not certain about it yet. These additions have printed perfectly without any supports needed. However, I realized that the smooth roof was too thin for the bracing system, so I added some padding to the interior to fix this issue. If you want to use a smooth roof with a brace, please use the euro_house_01_roof_smooth_v2 file instead. The euro_house_01_roof_Dormar_v3 now works seamlessly with the bracing system.
