European Hinge Jig for routers

European Hinge Jig for routers

thingiverse

This jig lets you use a flush trim bit to route out European hinge openings with precision and speed. To get started, you'll need top-mount flush bits - I recommend these: https://amzn.to/2t4RRz7, which feature a 12mm depth (1/2"). The jig itself is also 1/2" deep, making the process incredibly fast, easy, and accurate. Simply screw the jig into place using the hinge's screws, which will also mark the hole locations. Next, adjust your router for optimal performance, then slowly lower it down in the center of the jig until you've bored a hole exactly 12mm deep and 35mm in diameter.
