The Eurojet EJ200 is a military turbojet engine. It is built by the EuroJet Turbo GmbH consortium, consisting of Rolls-Royce, Avio, ITP, and MTU Aero Engines. The engine is largely based on the Rolls-Royce XG-40 demonstrator developed in the 1980s. The EJ200 serves as a propulsion unit for the Eurofighter Typhoon. It has also been used to set the land speed record for a supersonic car, the Bloodhound SSC.
