Eurofighter Typhoon cut into 4 parts
thingiverse
I broke down this Typhoon jet Eurofighter into 4 parts for those who can't fit it on their build plate or don't want to print any supports. Now, you can use your favorite glue to put the parts together. This model was previously published by nestor_d. Tips to get a super flat print: 1- I used a non-heated bed with 3M blue tape and made sure to sand its surface with 150 - 120 grit sandpaper before printing. Then, I dusted off the sanded surface to remove any paper powder from the sanding process. The tape also needs to be pressed hard onto the build plate so it doesn't peel off. 2- Lower the speed of the first layer to 18 mm/s for better adhesion to the build surface. Other layers might do well with speeds no higher than 26-30 mm/s for a high-quality finish. 3- I used PLA with 20% infill to achieve a great print quality. 4- When removing the finished print from the bed, be careful and remove it gradually with a knife so you don't bend the edges or break it. If you look at the photo, you can see that I was in a hurry to put the parts together and used low-quality glue. The model will also look better if you use filling putty to fill the gaps like Tamiya Putty (Basic Type) found on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Tamiya-87053-Putty-Basic-Type/dp/B000BMYWYW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top.
