euro cent puzzle ( labyrinth, maze)
thingiverse
The cent puzzle is actually a proof-of-concept challenge that's more about understanding the concept than solving a real problem. The main issue with this box is that it's difficult to visualize where the cent actually ends up. I designed this as a gift for a friend's child, and my initial prototype was pretty ugly, but the final version turned out much better, as you can see from the SketchUp screenshot. To assemble the puzzle, simply print all the layers and glue them together. Just make sure to stack the layers in the correct order: start with layer 0, followed by layer 1, then layer 2, and finally the top layer. This will ensure that everything fits together smoothly. The goal is to guide a euro cent through the lower opening and into the upper opening. The harder part is getting it from the bottom to the top. It was a blast creating and building this puzzle, and I'm happy to say that my friend's child loved it as a gift. If you're up for the challenge, try making your own version of this puzzle – maybe even create a bigger and more complex maze!
