This massive creature measured five to six meters in length and tipped the scales at over two tons. Its body was uniquely adapted for low-slung movement with a flat and wide profile, supported by four robust legs. The Euoplocephalus head featured a short, drooping snout equipped with a hardened beak that allowed it to feed on plants, which were then digested in its spacious gut. Like many of its fellow Euoplocephaluses, this dinosaur was heavily armored, boasting rows of large, high-ridged oval scutes among its bony plates, while two bone rings protected its vulnerable neck. When faced with predators like Gorgosaurus, the Euoplocephalus could defend itself by wielding a powerful club-like tail end.
