Eulidit PiFold Edition
thingiverse
You want a computer in your pocket that streams music, hosts file sharing, offers secure VOIP and chat, as well as secure shell services? You definitely do, you really do. I can see it in your eyes. Now you can have it. I've been working on this project for a while now, and it's finally taken shape thanks to the Hackaday Contest. Check out https://hackaday.io/project/9498-pifold to see what I've created. This setup uses a PiZero, a lipo battery, an Adafruit Powerboost, and a USB Wifi dongle to do all of the above. My first attempt at housing it was in a Tyvek Wallet, which worked great, but some people asked for a more secure case with easy charging access. I found the perfect wallet on Thingiverse - The Planet Mike had already designed a pocket-sized case that fit my needs perfectly. Thanks Mike! I made one modification to his STL file: increasing the depth of the wallet so it would fit all the parts comfortably. It's still got all the great features, but some pockets might find it a tight squeeze. For backpacks, purses, cargo pants, and coat jackets, however, it's a perfect fit. Once set up, you'll have an amazing cloud of resources surrounding you, connecting you to the world. Recharge at night for use during the day. I've even included plans to build an optional solar panel charging unit. As time goes on, I'll be tweaking and updating things to make this setup even better. Enjoy!
