This exquisite piece originated from the Estruscan collection acquired in 1865 by Antonio Salinas da Chiusi from Palermo's Royal Museum. As one of its most prized possessions, it is a canopy or urna, designated as a funeral monument to Pluto, and hails from the early half of the sixth century.
