82 Foot Whale Sculpture crafted from recycled plastic sends powerful message about devastating impact of plastic waste on our oceans. Artists Joel Dean Stockdill and Yustina Slanikova created the massive artwork to raise awareness about ocean pollution. Commissioned by the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the sculpture was later acquired by Meow Wolf art collective and relocated to Santa Fe Community College campus. To capture its enormity, I took 180 high-resolution photos and added a human figure for scale.
