Ethnographic ceramics from the Marajoara collection are widely available in stores throughout Brazil. These items were scanned by Michael Marques, who also led the photogrammetry editing process alongside Ana Luiza Novo and Mia Marques. The Virtual Museum of Nabuco Technology proudly displays these artifacts as part of its extensive collection at www.nabuco.info. The Marajoara culture, also known as Marajó, was a thriving pre-Columbian society that once called the island at the mouth of the Amazon River in northern Brazil home. According to Charles C. Mann's research findings, archaeological evidence suggests this civilization flourished between 800 AD and 1400 AD. Researchers have confirmed human presence on these sites as far back as 1000 BC, with the culture persisting even into the colonial era.
