DM: As you peer around the corner, a snapshot of the interior room unfolds before your eyes. Clearly, it's a barracks teeming with 25-30 well-armed hobgoblins. Some are engrossed in card games, others devour food, a few clash swords in sparring matches, and more lounge in their bunks. Player: I don my hat of disguise, assuming the guise of the slain hobgoblin guard, then stride into the barracks to gather intel. DM: As you mingle among the hobgoblins, none bestow a second glance upon you. Nearing the back of the room, a raspy breathing sound catches your attention. Roll for perception. Player: 14 DM: A knowing smile spreads across my face as I turn toward the source of the breathing. Suddenly, an odd white and green creature with four hands vanishes into thin air, its hand still clutching an identical hat of disguise to yours. It's only when you feel the weight of 30 hobgoblin eyes upon you that you realize the hat was yours all along. Any resemblance between this model and John Kasich is purely coincidental.
