We create the Molon C109 V-Ray render with materials specifically optimized for 3ds Max. Our materials won't work outside of that environment or if we're exporting to formats like FBX. That's because the actual textures associated with our materials get bundled together into a master file labeled as maxzip, located at the root level. If you need to reapply those same textures to a model when it gets imported as OBJ, 3DS, DXF or DWG though, be aware manual work is involved and textures for your entire scene are still being kept right in the same root directory where all these other files reside too!
