Welcome to an exciting new stage in my project, ETC "The Electric Toothbrush Clamp" To put it briefly, ETC is a holder designed specifically for electric toothbrushes, secured to an 8mm thick IKEA bathroom glass shelf using a clamping mechanism. You can find the full story behind this project here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:251150 I thought I had perfected my design in its second iteration, but the arrival of printable rubber material at my workshop led me to reevaluate my options. I ordered some Filaflex and was thrilled by its many potential uses. However, printing with this material proved more challenging than I anticipated. My bulldog extruder required adjustments to accommodate it, but it was well worth the effort. If you'd like to share your experiences or tips about using printable rubber materials, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly. The ETC's design takes advantage of an existing project that I modified by incorporating flexible material. My previous attempt used o-ring segments on the glass shelf, but they didn't provide the stability and easy removal I needed for regular cleaning tasks. Now, thanks to the innovative use of Filaflex, my toothbrush holders feature dragons made with a new material that not only looks great but also provides tension when secured. These tooth-shaped claws are made to hold the rubber parts firmly in place. I made some tweaks to the shape of the dragons as well and had them printed using Formfutura's HD-Glass. Not only is it transparent, but it also has the perfect blend of flexibility and durability that I needed for this design. Feel free to examine my FreeCAD file if you're interested in making modifications or have questions - just let me know!
