ET Finger - light up finger for halloween

I built this finger tip for my kid's ET Halloween costume. The kid is going to be ET, and I integrated a small LED into it along with a finger-activated switch. For the electronics, I repurposed a hail-damaged solar light by cutting off its solar panel. Another hail-damaged solar light serves as a charger to power rechargeable batteries for this project. To create the switch, I used two flat terminals separated by a thin piece of packing foam. When the foam is compressed, the solder on one terminal touches the other, completing the circuit and activating the LED. You might find better solutions, but I utilized materials that would have otherwise ended up in the trash. Once the electronics were assembled, I hot-glued the bundle to the inside of the finger tip, tested it again, and then superglued the top piece into place. My kid will wear a brown-colored stretch glove on his hand with the index finger removed.
