I designed this adapter ring to recycle an empty esun filament spool to accept MasterSpool refill coils.I don't know if all esun spools are the same. The core of mine had a diameter of ~91mm.The adapter has an outer diameter of 102mm and a width of 46mm.Note: The Fusion 360 source file is included, so you can modify it to fit your needs.Post-PrintingStep 1 (this is actually pre-printing not post-printing)Take apart the spool and take measurements to make sure this adapter will fit.Step 2If it looks like it would, print the adapter.Step 3While it prints, shorten the core of both halves (measure twice, cut once! ;)). The new inner width of our spool will be 46mm. But it is a good idea to remove a little more material to ensure a tight fit.Note: You have to do this on both halves, because the screw holes don't leave enough material to remove everything from just one side.Step 4Align the cutouts for the filament end, add your refill coil and reassemble everything.Step 5Done. :)Category: 3D Printing
